Hertford Heath goes ONLINE

A new website is being developed as a one stop shop to find out what’s on in Hertford Heath.

Developed by residents and independent of all village organisations, hertfordheath.online will provide a simple guide to events that can be attended by the public, whether it’s a picnic on the village green or a quiz at one of our pubs.

The site’s creator Paul Wolstencroft explained:

"There’s always so much going on in Hertford Heath with lots of pro--active organisations promoting events.  The Parish Council and the Village Hall have calendars on their websites, but public events can’t be afforded the space they need here, and the council must remain impartial when it comes to promoting local businesses."

"The concept of hertfordheath.online is simple.  Find out what’s happening and when and get in touch directly with the organisers if you want to get more involved."

The site provides pages for major events, allowing organisers to use their Social Media accounts to direct people to a central place where details are updated.  For 2022, no fewer than seven major events have their own pages so far.

17th April                 Easter Egg Hunt
2nd May                   Maypole Dancing
2nd June                   Jubilee Picnic
16th July                   Summer Fayre and Music Festival
3rd September       Fayre-ly Big Picnic and Open Air Cinema
5th November        Bonfire and Firework Display
26th November      Winter Fayre and Ice Skating

The main event of the year is the Summer Fayre, which this year returns to it’s pre-Covid format with something for all the family and live music in the evening courtesy of the Goat.  Demand for stalls is expected to be high and space may be limited so you’re planning a stall you can APPLY ONLINE HERE.
