Supporting local organisations

Hertford Heath Parish Council is committed to partnership, sustainability and the concept of wellbeing within the Parish.  When granting funds, we look for evidence of achievement of these policies.

Each financial year, the Council determines a budget to support local organisations through grants.  Funds are limited, so applying for a grant is a competitive process judged against the quality of other bids.

Projects funded must meet a number of criteria and must clearly demonstrate how they would directly benefit people who live in the Parish.  Applicants must be established for charitable, benevolent, social, cultural, recreational or philanthropic purposes and demonstrate clear aims and objectives.

Grants available

The Parish Council urge all groups and organisations within the village to apply for a grant from them. Grants can be for anything such as funding towards equipment, days out or training. Last year, grants were awarded to the Primary School (parents may have noticed some of these books being taken home), and the Village Hall committee to carry out some essential maintenance work.
